It has been more than 3 years since I updated this blog. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are still readers, particularly fans of Amami-san. It is certainly nice to see fellow fans from all over the world! In fact I also noticed some comments in other languages, which unfortunately I cannot read, but I could see the word “Amami” here and there in the paragraph, which lends legitimacy to the comments.

Hello! Japan

Hello! Japan, a new free-to-air TV channel featuring Japanese programs in Singapore started last Monday (25 Feb 2013).   So far, it seems to be concentrating on food and travel programmes but I managed to catch the 3 hour Music Station special on Tues as well as a nice movie Always ~三丁目の夕日~ on Sat.

Unearthed from a Mini Spring Cleaning

With a rare day off today, I decided to do a bit of spring cleaning.  I am normally extremely lazy when it comes to tidying up and it doesn’t help that I am quite a hoarder, but finally I decided that the pile of things on the sofa was getting really out of hand (nowhere to sit!) so I thought I’d at least get rid of some of the 3-4 years’ worth of dust and shift some things elsewhere.  Underneath a pile of newspapers, I unearthed some treasures which I’d not seen for the past few years…
