With the debut album being such a hit in 1984, the second album “La Vie En Rose” was released in quick succession within the same year.
Musically, it was verry much an extension of the first album “パラシュートが落ちた夏”, with slightly more variety. It spanned another two hit singles “La Vie En Rose” and “サヨナラは八月のララバイ” (Goodbye to the Lullaby of August). The former was famously covered by Leslie Cheung as “不羈的風”/“停止轉動” while I am pretty sure that the latter was covered as well but I don’t recall the title or singer.

Apart from the two singles, the album contains many other cheerful tunes like “ポラロイドの夏” (Polaroid Summer), ” グッド・ラック・チャーム” (Good Luck Charm) and despite the title “She’s gone-彼女が消えた夜” (She’s gone – the night she disappeared).
I really like the ballads too – ” サイレントムーンにつつまれて” (Surrounded by the Silent Moon) and “太陽もひとりぼっち” (The Sun is Alone Too). He seems to like to end off his albums with ballads.
